Biography
b. 1992 - Flagstaff, AZ Sky Black and has been professionally
painting for 15 years. He is an accomplished gallery artist and
muralist and has been collected in the US and internationally.
Between 2016 and 2019 Sky painted two murals in Berlin
Germany and Zurich Switzerland while teaming up with
Street Art Berlin. His large scale works have gained notoriety
in Arizona having completed the largest hand-painted mural
in the state at 22 years old. His oil paintings have been
curated in museums and have been found in many
publications; from magazines to documentaries and albums
covers.
Sky’s painting style is simultaneously technical and painterly
with themes that range from pristine landscapes to surreal
scenes and strange happenings. With a range of interests,
Sky doesn’t limit his imagery to any one theme or style. Each
painting is its own world in a way with emphasis placed on
his approach to thought provoking ideas and striking
illumination.
He currently paints from a studio in Flagstaff where he lives
with his wife and two children.
